Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I like it i think it is definitely worth the money because all of the picture is Crystal clear the installation was easy and also the recording is also crystal clear so I think it’s definitely the worth of money to buy it”

Customer Review: “The suspect was taken into custody a few days later as a result of being able to extract the video from the app and obtain pictures for the cops. Would this have happened if it were not for the incredible quality of the photo and video? The suction cup fits well on the windshield. After playing around with it, it was quite simple to set up. After going through the options, it seems quite intuitive, however the instructions were a little vague. If you jiggle it hard enough, it can pop off the holder, so you might need to put something in the hole with it, but it is simply fixable. Owning one is definitely worthwhile. My in-law was hit from the side by another vehicle, so my dashcam system needs to have 360-degree coverage. I purchased three Neideso N900 dashcam systems for my house and two for my in-laws. I installed all five Neideso N900 dashcam systems and updated the SD cards from the 128 GB that were provided. I explored with the app after downloading it. In addition to the parking monitor from the hardwire kit, I truly love having four cameras, and the new camera has been working perfectly. An important benefit of this camera is its audio recording capability. The video quality from all four cameras is more than enough. It is also quite easy to set up the parking mode recording. You do not necessarily need a hardwire kit because an external battery pack with enough capacity can easily provide 24-hour operation. Very easy to read and understand other automobiles. However, I still recommend reading the plate aloud in case something goes wrong because audio recording is also available.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. This is a really nice 4G Camera. It is very good for security of your vehicle or to monitor your vehicle while it is being used by someone else. This camera can really give you peace of mind knowing you can always keep track of your vehicle. You can open the app and view live 1080p footage from your cameras at any time.Everything was packaged really nicely and it arrived safe and sound. It was very quick and easy to set up. Being powered by the OBD made installation a breeze and keeps it powered at all times. After you download the app and pair the camera with your phone, you are good to go.When someone comes close to your vehicle the radar detects it and sends an alert to your phone. That allows you to view the camera in live time to see if there is a threat to your vehicle. The radar reaches a good distance and will easily pick up somebody walking close to your vehicle. If something touches your vehicle you will get a vehicle vibration alert also. The vibration alert is very sensitive. I was sitting in the vehicle and turned the radio up. I got an alert because the speakers set off the sensor. The cameras record everything and uploads it to the cloud so even if something happens to your camera, you still have access to the footage. The camera has really good footage at night. You can see everything inside and outside of the vehicle very clearly. The inside camera has very good coverage of the entire inside of the vehicle. The speaker and microphone on the camera work very well. Mine went through my car speakers and it was very easy to communicate with someone. You could easily talk to whoever is driving the vehicle if you needed to give them directions or warn them of something. The built in GPS lets you open the app and see exactly where the vehicle is. It will show the location to you on an interactive map.I am very happy with this camera. Someone could use these to keep track of multiple vehicles. It would be really good security for ride share and delivery vehicles also. The more I use it the more I like it.”

Customer Review: “I’m honestly really impressed with this car security camera. The 4G LTE feature is a game changer—it lets me check on my car anytime, anywhere right from my phone. The real-time alerts give me peace of mind, especially knowing it can detect motion, people, and even possible collisions. One of my favorite features is the live view and two-way talk. Being able to see what’s going on and even speak through the camera makes it feel like my car is always protected. The video quality is clear, and I like that it saves footage to both the SD card and the cloud for extra security. Setup was simple, and everything works smoothly. If you’re looking for a reliable, modern way to protect your vehicle, I definitely recommend this. Worth every penny!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I usually park my car outside the community, and I’ve had situations where it got scratched and I couldn’t find the person responsible, so I’m particularly concerned about parking monitoring functions. After installing this 4G dashcam, my overall sense of security has improved significantly. I can check the vehicle’s status anytime via a mobile app, and even when I’m outside, I can see the footage in real time. I also receive alerts for any unusual activity. The front and rear dual cameras offer a wide field of view, clearly recording both the road conditions outside the car and the situation inside. The OBD power supply for installation is very convenient for me; no extra wiring is needed, it’s plug and play, saving a lot of time. It automatically records while driving and continues monitoring even after parking, with good power consumption control, so I don’t worry about the battery running out. The GPS定位 function is also very useful; I can check the car’s location at any time, which is reassuring for family car sharing or occasional borrowing. Overall, after using it for a while, the integrated functions are very comprehensive, covering both daily driving and parking security.”

Customer Review: “I installed it on a car I usually lend to my family. I felt uneasy parking it outside a few times, and since different people take turns driving it, I figured having more records would give me peace of mind. The most noticeable improvement is the increased transparency of the car’s usage. I can check back on any issues instead of relying on memory or guesswork. In practical use, I particularly value the parking status monitoring. The system reacts when someone passes by or there’s movement near the car, which gives me a lot of peace of mind when parking outside. The driving view is also quite clear; I can see the road conditions and surroundings both day and night, which is sufficient for occasional reviews. The location and remote viewing functions are also a plus, especially for family members. Knowing the car’s approximate location gives me more peace of mind. Overall, it feels more like a tool for enhancing safety than something I actively use every day, but it really comes in handy in crucial moments.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “As a loyal Vantrue customer for over five years (with four cameras across three cars), I can attest to their excellent reliability and robust features. The new Sonnet S1 Pro Max continues this tradition with welcome upgrades. The Positives: Compact & App-Ready• Discreet Design: It’s incredibly compact and easily installed behind the rearview mirror, keeping the windshield clear.• App Integration: Seamless connection with the Vantrue app makes accessing footage quick and convenient.• Powerful Features: The S1 Pro Max is packed with features appreciated by serious dashcam users.License Plate Clarity: The Key UpgradeMy primary reservation with dashcams stems from a hit-and-run, where my older Vantrue (N2S) footage was too fuzzy to capture the license plate clearly during twilight hours. The S1 Pro Max boasts PlatePix™ Technology, designed to enhance plate clarity. While I haven’t tested it in a similar high-stakes scenario yet, I am extremely hopeful this will solve the license plate identification issue common in low light. This feature was the main reason for my upgrade.Setup: Need the Cheat SheetBe prepared for a slight learning curve. Setting up the numerous features requires studying the manual and the keystrokes for the unique dial interface. It took time, but the cheat sheet provided was an invaluable resource.Initial VerdictAfter seven days, I am overall very pleased with the feature set and build quality. It’s a solid evolution, maintaining the reliability I depend on while adding crucial new technology. If the license plate clarity lives up to the promise, this will be the perfect dashcam.Highly recommended for Vantrue loyalists or anyone seeking a feature-packed, discreet, and reliable dashcam.”

Customer Review: “Camera is good quality and easy to install. The video is really good quality as well. The only more difficult part is adjusting the lens to capture what the road. The base is stationary and the lense pivots. Overall a great dash camera.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I was impressed by how quickly I had this system up and running. Some dual-camera setups feel like a weekend project, but the installation here was straightforward and didn’t require me to overthink the wiring or the mounting process. The video quality is where this really stands out. The footage from both the front and the rear is sharp and easy to watch back. I noticed that the details stay crisp even when there is a lot of motion on the road, which is exactly what I want if I ever actually need to use the footage for something important. The screen on the unit itself is bright enough to see clearly from the driver’s seat without being a distraction.Having the storage card already in the unit meant I could start recording the first time I turned my car on. It is a solid, reliable piece of hardware that does its job without needing constant adjustment or troubleshooting. The build feels sturdy, and the interface is simple enough that I wasn’t digging through menus just to check a recording. This is a great choice for any driver who wants high-quality video coverage without a complicated installation process.”

Customer Review: “Our old dash cam did its job, but this one is on a whole different level. The 4K resolution from the dual cameras are crystal clear, and we finally feel confident we’ll capture important details if anything happens. The long cord reaches the back of our vehicle easily, and the dual-screen display is surprisingly helpful. The system is very stable, with smooth, uninterrupted recording and a reliable power connection. Both the front and rear cameras work beautifully together, and the dual‑screen view makes it easy to keep an eye on everything in real time. Easy to install, intuitive to use, and genuinely impressive quality.”

  • ADAS prompts may become repetitive

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “BOTSLAB Dual Channel (Front 4K & Rear 1080p) Dashcam Review. The presentation of this dashcam exudes premium. The accessories were neatly packaged in boxes and the unboxing experience was similar to getting a new high-end phone. The main forward dashcam has some heft and does not feel cheaply made. The view screen is small and provides some detail. Users will see much more detail when recorded footage is downloaded to a phone or a computer. The 170° wide-angle 4K (25 fps) dashcam lens captures detail in daylight and nighttime but lacks optical image stabilization. When your vehicle is stopped at a traffic light, the dashcam can capture license plates from a distance of half a car’s length. This is also ideal when parked in a parking lot. The rear 1080p (60 fps) camera captures sufficient detail in daylight and at night. However, when your vehicle is in motion, the dash cam turns oncoming licence plates into an indistinguishable blur. Minus the licence plate issue, your surroundings are captured in stunning detail. If an incident occurs, this dash cam will record it.A minor nitpick is that a green LED on the left side of the device blinks while recording. I covered the LED with a small piece of black electrical tape. The dash cam alerts users (by computerized voice) that it still records when the viewscreen turns off. The same ‘voice’ is used for the dash cam’s ADAS system alerting the driver to pedestrians, lane deviation, hard braking, aggressive driving and when the vehicle ahead of you starts moving. GPS logging and tracking at this price point is unheard of and is usually associated with higher-end model dashcams. The spoken ADAS prompts can be configured through the Botslab app.The supercapacitor is preferred over a lithium-ion battery. In past experiences, the supercapacitor endured extreme hot and cold temperatures. There is mention of a lithium-ion battery in the product description. The battery is likely used to keep the dashcam’s time and date. For 24/7 parking and sentry monitoring, you will need a hard-wire kit. I tried the cigarette lighter/power outlet adapter method first. When the adapter is plugged into an outlet that provides constant power, this will drain the vehicle battery over time. The hard wire kit resolves this problem. There are two options available. The first option is a kit that hard-wires the dash cam to your vehicle’s fuse panel. This allows the dash cam to go into parking/sentry mode. The kit includes an inline voltage regulator that automatically turns the dash cam off to avoid battery drainage. Some voltage regulators allow users to choose from four battery voltage settings. This option takes the most time to install. The second option takes the least installation time and uses the vehicle’s OBD II port. This method eliminates wiring the dash cam to the fuse panel. During operation, the dashcam was warm to the touch but was not as warm when I used the cigarette lighter/power outlet adapter method. If choosing this method, get the micro USB version, (B074M4XMBX).Ensure enough cable length is available to connect the dash cam to the OBD II port. The adapter is attached to roughly 3.5 metres (11.5 ft) of cable. To conceal the cable, I hid it under the headliner, A-pillar, and the excess cable was hidden near the OBD II port. Plug the adapter in, set the switch to the desired mode and that’s it. The OBD II adapter has a switch that selects two modes. The first mode keeps the dashcam on while driving and turns the dashcam off after five minutes when the car is shut off.The second mode puts the dashcam in parking/sentry mode. When your vehicle is turned off, the dashcam continues to record. The Botslab app can adjust how much time is allowed for recording. When the vehicle’s battery reaches 11.6 volts, the dashcam shuts off.Installation of the dash cam was straightforward. The instructions are clear and guide you through the process. A firmware update was available when the dashcam was first started. The dashcam is equipped with a built-in alignment guide that assists with positioning the device. The kit comes with an extra self-adhesive pad. The ESD sticker fell off despite having cleaned the windshield thoroughly. If the dash cam needs to be repositioned, I’ve found that a length of fishing line cuts through the adhesive. Goo Gone removes any residue left behind.Overall, and despite minor nitpicks this dashcam exceeded my expectations. Recommended!”

Customer Review: “Installed this on a 2011 Lexus RX350.I immediately liked the build quality of the camera. It feels solid and looks relatively high end. I also like the physical design of the camera as it has a very slim profile and doesn’t look like an everyday digital camera was mounted to the windshield. It looks like a proper dash cam.Getting the camera operational is very simple. Hiding the wiring through the car can take some work and will depend on your make and model. It was the first time for me to try something like this and I have to admit it was a bit challenging. I did not install the rear camera (yet). I like the electrostatic film solution for mounting the camera, but I still don’t really like the visible white square from the outside.Video quality of the front camera is pretty decent. The 4K resolution gives a very clear picture and it’s surprisingly good at night. License plates can generally be made out for the cars directly in front and about a two cars ahead. The driving assistance is a neat feature but I’m not sure if I will keep it on. If you spend the time to align it all properly, it again works surprisingly well. However, I’m not sure I like having it on. Between the GPS and the dash cam, I just don’t like my car talking too much even with the sensitivities turned down. However, I also have young drivers in the household so I appreciate it helping to keep them in check! The menu system on the camera is also pretty good being intuitive to control and access with the responsive buttons.Without an additional kit, the camera will not remain powered when the car is turned off. This is required if you want to use the parking monitor feature but it also means that means you can’t communicate with the device (ie. to transfer videos) if the car isn’t running. I haven’t tried removing the SD card (included with the kit – nice!) to read it directly.Good to know the camera uses a super capacitor instead of a normal battery — it should be able to better handle both our hot summer days and our crazy cold Canadian winter days.I’m of the belief that most dash cams aren’t that great. However, I think this dash cam offers good quality and quite a few features not found in similar cameras… and it’s not crazy expensive. I’m happy with this camera and I think it’s a decent pick for someone looking for a dash cam.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I previously had a cheap, no-name dash cam installed on my windshield for about 3 years, but it stopped working. Since reviewing footage was a hassle (I had to remove the SD card and connect it to a computer), I wanted a compact, easy-to-install dash cam that allowed me to view footage via WiFi. I tried several other brands, but their build quality and software left a lot to be desired. They didn’t live up to the marketing hype or the glowing reviews—honestly, the negative reviews were probably more accurate. That was until I happened upon this little gem.I replaced my existing car charger with an additional ACC hardwiring kit, which I had to purchase separately. This allowed me to enable parking mode monitoring. I easily mounted the dash cam next to the rearview mirror using the 3M adhesive, and the design is discreet—it’s not a bulky, long unit, so I was able to find the perfect spot to install it.I must say, the rotating camera design is incredibly handy. It allows me to quickly adjust the angle to capture the sides of my car and the interior while parked. As far as non-mainstream brands go, the user interface is impressively smooth. The recording quality exceeds the average—to record for longer, I opted for the medium, 1440P resolution, which is more than enough. Even at night, the footage is clear enough to capture details, including license plates.I really love the overall design of this camera—it’s crystal clear and offers a lot of user-friendly features, like GPS tracking, and the rear camera can be freely installed either inside or outside the car. The accompanying app is also very easy to use. I had some concerns after reading reviews mentioning issues with windshield angles, but the customer service assured me the camera’s angle could be adjusted, and it was easy to do so with no noticeable effect. Their customer support was excellent, answering all my questions before I even made the purchase. They even have installation videos on their website. So far, the camera has been working flawlessly—no glitches or missed recordings after a few weeks of use. The only downside is that the hardwiring kit needs to be bought separately via a different link. It would’ve been nice if they offered a bundled kit like other sellers do, as the kit is essential for the parking mode to work properly.Overall, I’m very satisfied with my purchase!”

Customer Review: “I was honestly a little unsure about this dash cam at first, especially since it’s way cheaper than some of the big-name brands out there. Honestly, its specs seemed even better than some of the older, pricier models I’ve seen. In the end, I figured I’d give it a shot since it ticked all the boxes for me and stayed under my $100 budget. After using it, though, I’ve been seriously impressed!- The video quality is super clear and smooth. I can read the license plates of cars in front of me and on the edges of my view. Even cars on the side of the road are visible without any issues.- The app syncs up with the video and overlays the map track and speed. This feature is pretty useful, especially if you need to show you were already braking before something happened.- The rear camera is a nice touch too. After hooking it up like the instructions said, it automatically switches to the rear view when you’re backing up.As for the smart ADAS, it’s cool to have, but honestly, I don’t rely on it much since I’m familiar with the roads. But overall, this cam has all the high-end features you’d expect, and the customer support team has been super helpful, which makes me feel like this is a brand that knows what they’re doing.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do AI dash cams really help reduce insurance premiums?

A: Yes—many insurers offer discounts for vehicles equipped with certified dash cams, especially those featuring AI safety features like collision warnings and driver behavior scoring. Always verify coverage terms with your provider.

Q: Can I retrofit existing trucks with AI dash cams?

A: Absolutely. Most modern units use universal mounts and OBD-II power connections, allowing installation on virtually any vehicle without permanent modifications. Professional installers can handle complex wiring if needed.

Q: How much storage do I actually need?

A: For single-channel recording, 64–128GB suffices for 8–24 hours of HD footage. Multi-camera setups require larger cards (128GB+) due to increased data load. Consider cloud backup plans for compliance-heavy industries.

Q: Are LTE dash cams legal everywhere?

A: While dash cams themselves are legal nationwide, LTE models with real-time streaming may face restrictions in certain countries due to data privacy laws. Always check local regulations before deployment.

Q: What maintenance do AI dash cams require?

A: Minimal—regularly clean lenses, replace SD cards every 1–2 years, and update firmware when available. Avoid exposing units to direct sunlight or sub-zero temperatures for prolonged periods.
