That connection is really stiff. This is not a camera I would want to be constantly removing or taking on and off, and I plan to hardwire it so I can also use it for parking protection, so it’s never going to come out once I mount it. The stiffness of the connection between the mounting pad/bracket and the camera is really stiff, and it’s something to keep in mind if you live in a high-theft area and don’t like to leave electronics in your car. This might not be the right option for you.**Conclusions:** The best compliment I can give is that I finally found a camera that produces sufficiently good images, is easy to use, works reliably, and has all the features I want. It has high-quality front and rear cameras, can be hardwired to the car using the included harness kit, and offers parking protection. The app is fairly simple to operate and provides excellent video, including GPS data that shows your location on a map, which can be useful for authorities or insurance claims. I can easily download the videos to my phone and then AirDrop them to my computer from the app. All these features are what I’ve been looking for, and I believe I’ve finally found it. There are two disappointing aspects. One is the quality of the screen. It’s quite pixelated, and it’s not touchscreen. Realistically, you should mount this as high as possible and out of your view, so it does not distract you or block your vision. The screen’s main purpose is to ensure your camera is aimed properly and to navigate the menu when you’re not driving. I’ll end with realistic expectations: I still can’t read license plates of oncoming cars when traveling at speed, and I’ve never seen a camera capable of capturing those license plates as vehicles pass by each other. The other thing to note is the screenshot of the video I sent doesn’t include the map data for privacy reasons and also the note this was just being handheld and not right up against the windshield, which means the image quality is not optimal and though the width of view would also be wider if I had properly mounted it, which I’m going to do, but for the review, this is the best I could do.”
