Customer Reviews
Customer Review: As a loyal Vantrue customer for over five years (with four cameras across three cars), I can attest to their excellent reliability and robust features. The new Sonnet S1 Pro Max continues this tradition with welcome upgrades. The Positives: Compact & App-Ready• Discreet Design: It’s incredibly compact and easily installed behind the rearview mirror, keeping the windshield clear.• App Integration: Seamless connection with the Vantrue app makes accessing footage quick and convenient.• Powerful Features: The S1 Pro Max is packed with features appreciated by serious dashcam users.License Plate Clarity: The Key UpgradeMy primary reservation with dashcams stems from a hit-and-run, where my older Vantrue (N2S) footage was too fuzzy to capture the license plate clearly during twilight hours. The S1 Pro Max boasts PlatePix™ Technology, designed to enhance plate clarity. While I haven’t tested it in a similar high-stakes scenario yet, I am extremely hopeful this will solve the license plate identification issue common in low light. This feature was the main reason for my upgrade.Setup: Need the Cheat SheetBe prepared for a slight learning curve. Setting up the numerous features requires studying the manual and the keystrokes for the unique dial interface. It took time, but the cheat sheet provided was an invaluable resource.Initial VerdictAfter seven days, I am overall very pleased with the feature set and build quality. It’s a solid evolution, maintaining the reliability I depend on while adding crucial new technology. If the license plate clarity lives up to the promise, this will be the perfect dashcam.Highly recommended for Vantrue loyalists or anyone seeking a feature-packed, discreet, and reliable dashcam.
Customer Review: Camera is good quality and easy to install. The video is really good quality as well. The only more difficult part is adjusting the lens to capture what the road. The base is stationary and the lense pivots. Overall a great dash camera.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I wanted a dash cam that was easy to set up, didn’t require a lot of fiddling, and would give me good evidence if someone hit me. The COOLCRAZY fit the bill. Why I chose this one over others:GPS was a must for me: A few years ago, I was in a minor accident where the other driver claimed I ran a stop sign. I didn’t have a dash cam at all, so it was my word against his. My insurance paid out, and my rates went up. This time, I wanted GPS stamping so there would be no question about speed or location. The COOLCRAZY’s GPS locks on quickly (about 20‑30 seconds after starting the car), and the speed and coordinates are burned right into the video.Included 128GB card – no hassle: I’m on a fixed income, so saving $30‑40 on a memory card matters to me. The camera came with a 128GB card already installed, and I didn’t have to buy anything extra. I’ve been using it for a month, and the card has been reliable – no corruption or errors. The camera loops automatically, so I never have to delete files manually.Sony STARVIS 4K – clearer than I expected: I’m not a video expert, but I can tell the difference between this and my neighbor’s budget dash cam. The footage is sharp, and I can read license plates without zooming in. At night, it’s surprisingly good – I drove through a poorly lit parking lot last week, and the video still showed the lines on the pavement and the numbers on the spaces. The screen shows me it’s working: This sounds basic, but it’s important. The screen has a red dot that blinks when recording. I glance at it every time I start the car. If I ever see it not blinking, I’ll know something is wrong. With a screenless dash cam, you might drive for weeks without realizing it stopped recording.A few downsides – none are dealbreakers:The outer shipping box had a small tear, but the product box was in perfect shape. The camera itself had no damage at all. The seller’s packaging is good – foam inserts and a sturdy inner box.Final thoughts: This is a straightforward, well‑built dash cam. It doesn’t have gimmicks or unnecessary features. The GPS, included 128GB storage, and Sony 4K sensor are the main reasons I bought it, and they all work as promised. If you want a reliable camera that won’t nickel‑and‑dime you for a memory card, the COOLCRAZY is a smart buy.
Customer Review: I am a ride share driver and was told I should get a dash cam in my car for my own safety. I tested 4 different models of cameras and this blows them all away. This camera has excellent resolution is easy to install and operate. The audio recording is crystal clear. SELLER DOES NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT PRODUCT NO SUPPORT

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. This is a really nice 4G Camera. It is very good for security of your vehicle or to monitor your vehicle while it is being used by someone else. This camera can really give you peace of mind knowing you can always keep track of your vehicle. You can open the app and view live 1080p footage from your cameras at any time.Everything was packaged really nicely and it arrived safe and sound. It was very quick and easy to set up. Being powered by the OBD made installation a breeze and keeps it powered at all times. After you download the app and pair the camera with your phone, you are good to go.When someone comes close to your vehicle the radar detects it and sends an alert to your phone. That allows you to view the camera in live time to see if there is a threat to your vehicle. The radar reaches a good distance and will easily pick up somebody walking close to your vehicle. If something touches your vehicle you will get a vehicle vibration alert also. The vibration alert is very sensitive. I was sitting in the vehicle and turned the radio up. I got an alert because the speakers set off the sensor. The cameras record everything and uploads it to the cloud so even if something happens to your camera, you still have access to the footage. The camera has really good footage at night. You can see everything inside and outside of the vehicle very clearly. The inside camera has very good coverage of the entire inside of the vehicle. The speaker and microphone on the camera work very well. Mine went through my car speakers and it was very easy to communicate with someone. You could easily talk to whoever is driving the vehicle if you needed to give them directions or warn them of something. The built in GPS lets you open the app and see exactly where the vehicle is. It will show the location to you on an interactive map.I am very happy with this camera. Someone could use these to keep track of multiple vehicles. It would be really good security for ride share and delivery vehicles also. The more I use it the more I like it.
Customer Review: I’m honestly really impressed with this car security camera. The 4G LTE feature is a game changer—it lets me check on my car anytime, anywhere right from my phone. The real-time alerts give me peace of mind, especially knowing it can detect motion, people, and even possible collisions. One of my favorite features is the live view and two-way talk. Being able to see what’s going on and even speak through the camera makes it feel like my car is always protected. The video quality is clear, and I like that it saves footage to both the SD card and the cloud for extra security. Setup was simple, and everything works smoothly. If you’re looking for a reliable, modern way to protect your vehicle, I definitely recommend this. Worth every penny!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Full Disclosure: Rexing sent the V2 Pro AI in order for me to review it.Pros:- The camera’s field of view is excellent: between the 3 cameras, it can capture nearly all of the activity surrounding your vehicle.- Despite only being 1080p, the image captures are sharp and clear: the attached photos are image captures from the dash cam’s video during the rain while the vehicles were in motion–I have blocked part of the license plate numbers out of an abundance of caution, but you can clearly make out the numbers of both vehicles from the front and rear cameras (and even the IR camera, which is intended for the cabin, but I thought I would test its outward-facing performance).- The mounting and wiring of these cameras was extremely easy, and everything that’s needed was provided (that said, you may need to look into extending the cable for the rear camera depending on how you route the cables and how long your vehicle is)- I personally found the RexingConnect app to be completely functional: I had no issues connecting my phone to the application and downloading the videos.- The GPS logger works well and the speed reporting is accurate.- The camera’s pedestrian detection was impeccable, even when driving in a crowded city.- The front cameras can be rotated and turned to your preference/needs.Other Observations:- Because the cameras can be moved around, you may need to spend time getting the camera positioning: poor positioning can definitely lead to false positives for the Front Collision and Lane departure warnings.- The Front Collision Warnings can sometimes give false positives when heading into a curve with a vehicle in the opposing lanes (i.e. the vehicle is directly in front of you because you haven’t started the curve yet)- The Lane Departure detection can struggle a little when the lane markings are not clear (e.g. in the rain or when the lines are faded or non-existent), though this is a challenge for pretty much every camera that tries to detect lane boundaries– The sensitivity affecting both of these can be adjusted to suit driving conditions, which definitely helps, though I think these can be further fine-tuned through firmware updates.– Future firmware updates that provide on-screen alignment instructions for the camera positions would be also be of great value.Cons:- As noted above, I had to spend some time getting the camera and settings just right to ensure accurate Front Collision and Lane Departure detection, though I do believe firmware updates can improve this experience- The biggest con I encountered was that the Front Collision Warning can repeat over and over even when you behind the same car (e.g. if, on the freeway, you or the car are varying your speed slightly such that you keep entering and exiting or just varying within the detection range). This makes sense, as you are still within range and, thus, the possibility of a Front Collision still exists. It is just that this warning can feel a bit disruptive.– My solution was to set the volume to “Low” so that the warning could still be heard but did not feel obnoxious. It is worth noting, however, that “Low” may be too quiet for you depending on the level of your cabin noise, so you will need to find what works for you.— I’m not sure how Rexing could address this without undercutting the safety value of the feature: perhaps only noting “Vehicle ahead” the first time and then switching to an innocuous chime periodically so long as it’s the same vehicle? Conclusion:I really like this camera and think it does its job extremely well. The only issues I do have with the camera are relatively minor, could potentially be resolved via firmware updates, and pale in comparison to the safety value having such a quality camera provides.
Customer Review: It took longer to remove the adhesive of the previous camera’s mount from the windshield than it did to get this camera up and running. And I could have used the previous mount because it was also a Rexing, but wanted to move it over some due to the different shape.I haven’t had this camera long, but here are some things I like so far:Ability to adjust the cameras easily. I can simply swivel the cameras to get any view I want whether facing front, side, or into the car.Time and date was already set. During set up, I checked on this realizing I didn’t have my phone and had no clue about anything, but saw it was there. yay!Used the same power cord as my previous Rexing camera.Nice tool for hiding the cord which I’ll be running to the back.Easy instructions. It’s also intuitive how to navigate to the settings screens. Handy for when I lose the instruction manual.Very good quality. These don’t mind the heat at all.I upgraded from another Rexing camera because I like the features this one adds. Rexing cameras have proved very reliable and useful. I gave my very first Rexing dashcam to my father and it proved his side in an accident claim not only because it visually recorded everything, but also because the audio captured the other driver admitting they ran the light. So I highly recommend making sure the audio recording setting is on.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I was impressed by how quickly I had this system up and running. Some dual-camera setups feel like a weekend project, but the installation here was straightforward and didn’t require me to overthink the wiring or the mounting process. The video quality is where this really stands out. The footage from both the front and the rear is sharp and easy to watch back. I noticed that the details stay crisp even when there is a lot of motion on the road, which is exactly what I want if I ever actually need to use the footage for something important. The screen on the unit itself is bright enough to see clearly from the driver’s seat without being a distraction.Having the storage card already in the unit meant I could start recording the first time I turned my car on. It is a solid, reliable piece of hardware that does its job without needing constant adjustment or troubleshooting. The build feels sturdy, and the interface is simple enough that I wasn’t digging through menus just to check a recording. This is a great choice for any driver who wants high-quality video coverage without a complicated installation process.

Complete Buying Guide for Ai Dash Cam For Construction Trucks
Essential Factors We Consider
When selecting an AI dash cam for construction trucks, we evaluate several critical aspects: video resolution, field of view, durability, connectivity options, and smart alert systems. Construction environments demand rugged hardware capable of handling vibrations, dust, and temperature extremes. Look for IP-rated housings, wide dynamic range (WDR), and night vision technologies like IR or STARVIS sensors. Additionally, AI features such as collision prediction, lane departure warnings, and pedestrian detection add layers of proactive safety—especially valuable when operating heavy machinery near pedestrians or other vehicles.
Budget Planning
Prices for AI dash cams range widely—from budget-friendly multi-channel models under $200 to premium LTE-enabled systems exceeding $600. Determine your priorities: Do you need live monitoring (requiring 4G modules and data plans)? Full 360° coverage? Or simply reliable evidence capture? Entry-level options like the IIWEY N5 offer excellent value, while enterprise fleets benefit from scalable solutions like the Volam 4G LTE with cloud integration. Remember to factor in ongoing costs: memory cards, cellular subscriptions, or replacement parts. Most reputable brands include warranties and customer support, which can save money long-term.
Final Thoughts
Investing in an AI dash cam isn’t just about compliance—it’s about creating a culture of safety and accountability within your organization. Modern systems do more than record; they prevent, protect, and prove. Whether you choose the Vantrue S1 Pro Max for its 4K intelligence or the Volam for real-time oversight, the right choice empowers drivers, reassures management, and safeguards your business from costly disputes. Prioritize features aligned with your operational challenges, and don’t overlook ease of installation and user experience. With the options above, every construction fleet—regardless of size—can find a trustworthy, future-ready companion on the road.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can AI dash cams work reliably in dusty construction environments?
A: Yes, many models like the Vantrue S1 Pro Max and RexingUSA V2 PRO are built with sealed housings and anti-fog lenses to resist dust and moisture. Always opt for IP65-rated or higher units for outdoor job sites.
Q: Do I need a special data plan for 4G LTE dash cams?
A: Absolutely. Models such as the Volam 4G LTE require a compatible SIM card and cellular data plan to enable live streaming and cloud uploads. Check compatibility with major carriers before purchasing.
Q: How much storage do construction truck dash cams typically need?
A: For 24/7 operation, a minimum of 64GB–128GB is recommended. Larger fleets or extended shifts may benefit from expandable slots supporting up to 256GB cards. Loop recording automatically manages space by overwriting old files.
